NEHA 2011 AEC and Returm On Investment (ROI)
An investment in knowledge always past the best interest. – Benjamin Franklin
In the September issue of the Journal of Environmental Health, NEHA President, Mel Knight takes a look at how conference attendance and networking can be your wisest investment. (You can read the President’s column here.)
NEHA has committed (even more than in the past) to providing our conference attendees with a training and educational experience that not only advances the proficiency of the profession, it also enables attendees to more than pay for their conference experience through the cost savings or revenue enhancements that they can implement back home on the job. (This is a return on investment or ROI.)
Having attended the NEHA 2011 Annual Educational Conference & Exhibition and now several months following, you should be seeing evidence of your attendance having a business impact. We are entering Level 4 of the ROI objectives - http://www.neha2011aec.org/pdf/Overall_Conference_ROI.pdf. Soon you will be hearing more about Level 4 and ROI, and we hope that you will continue to share how your attendance to the 2011 AEC has in fact had an impact on your organization.

Videos and Speaker Presentations Posted to the Virtual AEC
Over 70 videos/speaker presentations and materials have recently been loaded into the Virtual AEC so that you can continue your learning experience. To access a listing of sessions that were recorded and/or presentations that have been posted, use the “Schedule of Virtual Sessions and Presentations” found on the Virtual AEC homepage. (This documented is also posted in the Virtual AEC Library.) Note that to access videos, presentations, etc., you must first log into the Virtual AEC.
Over 25 educational sessions were recorded live at the AEC. When you access a video on the Virtual AEC, a viewer will pop up and the video will automatically play. The sessions that were recorded will be archived for up to a year so you can go back and watch them again!
As speakers continue to submit their presentations and materials, these items will be posted to the Virtual AEC, and a notification will be sent to attendees about the new materials that have been posted.
